Decision 2012...Evil or Funny!!??

So we went to a relief society enrichment activity last night that was African culture night and long story short one of the ladies brought out some clay that is a legitimate source of food there in Nigeria and I had my kids try it telling them that I had tried it first and then it was very yummy and here are the results!! I also volunteered to let the ladies wrap me in one of the pretty turbin things...Can I pass for African??

My New Baby!!

No, not a real baby... Chris says we don't have room for one of those but we sure had room for my new mobile baby...long story short, my white van was disposed of by my dear husband when he decided we didn't need it anymore and crashed it into another car!!(no one was hurt so that's good) and this is my new replacement!! We weren't supposed to get it until after Chris left but good old USAA came through as usual and here we are with a beautiful new LOADED van!! ;)

The things we do to entertain

So I know the picture is a little sketchy and you can't really see it but on our way home from a bike ride that we took and subsequently got lost and had to go around downtown DC got stuck in traffic and it took us forever...Dalin was getting very bored and bothering Destinee, so I drew eyes, and mouth on a stick I found in the car and called him Senor Stick and it entertained him for a good five minutes!! ;)

Wet, Wild Coincidences

So on Chris's last week of leave here before he leaves for Korea for the summer we decided to have fun as a family by going down to Six Flags. Who would've thought that we would run into Destinee's best friend and her family (who also has a little girl Kyle's age)...what a fun day!! :) Oh yeah and see if you can find out what is so cool about the picture of the car I took!!

Oops!! I didn't know it would do that.

So I tried to go back in my earlier blog posts and add a second picture on Destinee's play and it re-ordered where the post went so now it's up first but it's not the most recent thing that's happened so read on further!!

An Unexpected Visit

So you know that feeling you get in your stomach when something you know is going to be fun is about to happen... well that's what I felt when my brother called me three days ago and said he was going to be in DC for a conference and would like to visit. So we had a lovely Vietnamese dinner that Chris treated Dan to trying for the first time and then who doesn't love some Coldstone!! A second day visit and a little bit of help on a canoe project late at night then it was off to his DC hotel for an early morning flight. Can't wait to see you and your family again in just a few short weeks for our reunion!! :)

So much to update...

Well I have updated a little of things that have been happening recently but there were some important events that I have totally missed that were captured on Chris's camera...Dalins baptism, trips, pool, camping!! I hope to get those up soon but enjoy the posts about our recent happenings till then!! ;)
