Tired Babies and Sad Families

Kyle just couldn't stand waiting for Daddy to get all his stuff together and ready to leave for the airport...it made us both quite sad to see him like this and I can't even pin down why..it just made us both break down and realize how much we were gonna miss each other for these next few months. Time go quick please and we love and miss you Daddy!! ;)

A Pre-Emptive Birthday

Well since finding out that Chris was going to leave us soon after Christmas we decided to have an early b-day party for Kyle so that Daddy could be part of the fun...and so we went to Kyle's favorite place in the world: Can all you parents tell where?? It was great and a wonderful way to send Daddy off to the Land of Not Quite Right!! ;)

Truth in Advertising

On the way down to Chris's parents house after Christmas for a short visit before his departure I saw this sign across from a Hardee's that we ate at...does anyone get the irony here? I sure hope so 'cause I got a pretty good belly laugh at it.

Washington DC LDS Temple

On our way back from Chris's families house right after Christmas we stopped really quick at the temple there in Kensington and what a sad time it would have been if I had missed this spectacle. Chris and the older two kids had seen a show there at the visitor center earlier in the month but Kyle and I had been elsewhere and didn't get to see the beautiful display of lights that they had up and so I was SO happy to end the Christmas season with such a dazzling display.

Christmas '09 A Little on the Late Side!!

Well first of all I realize that there are just pics of Kyle and I wasn't trying to do the "fav" game, there really just weren't any good pics or hardly any of all of the other two...oh wait oh wait you can see the bottom half of Destinee on the bottom pic so there!! ;) Anyway, we have a tradition of having a big fruit tray for Christmas morning and so I had gotten marshmallow creme for this awesomely yummy dip that I remember first having in Korea and so I was proud of myself that I was gonna have EVERYTHING I needed for this yummy "bath" that the fruit could dive into, and then was looking at the recipe the morning of and didn't know that it took cream cheese...so the fruit had to go naked but it was yummy nonetheless. Have any of you ever had starfruit, that's the dorky pic of me holding some alien looking food...if you hadn't (which I hadn't either until this time) it tastes like a cross between an asian pear (sorry for those who can't relate with that either!!) and a....well actually nothing else...it tastes just like an asian pear...so go out and get yourselves one, they're yummy!! ;)
