We Have a Tradition....YAY!!
I just love having family traditions and things that only your family does each holiday or for any special occasion...and so far Halloween, though it be one of my very favorite holidays, was one of the many holidays that we DIDN"T have any cool traditions that we did each year....but I heard of a family in Destinee's school class that carved pumpkins together as a family on Halloween night and so I thought I'd "borrow" the idea as our own for this year and it turned out so fun for the kids and Chris that I think we might "steal" it now and keep it for our own!! Isn't Chris's cute in the middle!!?? Anyway, that's the end of my humassive Halloween post for this year (at least I think!!) So TaTa to another Halloween and another fun year of being the coolest Halloween costume coordinating family on the block!! ;) I think that's what I'm gonna put on my Tombstone...Was part of the "Coolest Halloween Costume Coordinating Family On The Block"...okay bad idea, the machine that cuts those letters would totally konk out before it was done with that epic!! ;)
I Don't Think I Even Want to Know....
Actually that's a total lie, because I so do want to know how much it would cost doing this for 100+ Trick or Treaters!! Sorry it's hard to see but the ghost tags are all stamped and the eyes on the ghosts are brackets punched through each one of the cards, and then the cool fluffy ribbon!! This is what one of my fellow crafty/ribbon/scrapbooking/well everything ladies handed out to EVERY one of her Trick or Treaters!! CRAZY talent and time!!
This One's For You Mom!!
My mom recently sent the kids some Hallmark Halloween cards to look at and play around with and this was by far their favorite. It was a skeleton that would dance at really weird angles when you moved the mouse and they played it for the better part of an hour, and actually got along for the most part!! I KNOW, Can you believe it?? Me either!!
Even Baby Dinosaurs Need Naps...
I've always seen cute little shots of peoples' kids while they're sleeping and always thought them to be so cute but I'm always afraid that the sound of the camera or the flash would wake them up, but him with his "tail" stuck up in the air was just too cute to resist!! And lo and behold, it didn't wake him up!!
The Flinstones In All Their Glory!!
Here we are all together at the Family Fun Night held at the school the night before Halloween. A big perk for me always getting our family to coordinate is granted yes someone to recognize the effort put into it...sorry I can't help it....I'm needy!! And on this night, there were a costume contest that I know the kids and I were all very excited about..(not so much Daddy and he couldn't care any less about dressing up...but he's a good sport and does it anyway every year!! What a good daddy!!) Long story short...we got jipped and didn't win...but in our minds we sure felt like we looked like winners and we were!! ;) I hear "We Are The Champions" in the background right now just pushing us forward us to try for a victory next year. :)
Fun With Dino Hands
That would be fun with Dino (Deeno) hands, as in the Flinstones pink dinosaur dog!! Yes I think I just realized that I put my baby in a pink costume!! Anyway, this was the first time we'd put it on him since we ordered it and as you can see he is rather enthralled at these new PINK clawed things, and towards the end begins to practice getting in the dog frame of mind so as to pant at his new found play things!!
Just Clowning Around...
Is that Rocky?? No it's only a Pebble!!
Caveboy on Parade
Hopefully this will load quickly, as it's a pretty short one, but just a cute "in motion" shot of Dalin and his class in the parade!! Oh how I hate to hear my voice on video....blluuuccckkk is all I can say.
I Get To PARADE myself in Costume!!??
Well here are some in class action shots for Grandma, to show Dalin in his school element!! This was the day before Halloween and their class was getting ready for the costume parade outside the school where every grade gets to well..parade their costume up and down the little road leading to the school. Doesn't Dalin look so excited to have a WOMD (weapon of mad destruction) in his hot little hands!! As you'll see later and then it will make a little more sense probably, Dalin is BamBam here from the Flinstones and the rest of the family coordinated with him on the Flinstones theme so we all looked pretty dandy if I do say so myself!! ;)
Dad and Son Dance and Who is that Little Girl??
Alright, Alright I finally got a video to post, so no complaining about the sideways angle, that's why God made us bendable!! ;) Anyway, this was at the Halloween party for Church and they were playing freeze tag downstairs and at this particular moment Kyle wasn't in a freeze tag mood and would much rather have Daddy play the game for him or rather with him...so here's Chris's MAD dancing skills and you see a shot of Destinee's head a little later too. Now in reference to the "Who's the Little Girl" part of the title, well that little game rule breaker (you know, when the music stops you're supposed to freeze..okay duh insult to the intelligence, sorry!!) is one of my good friend's little girls who definitely just has her own way of doing things, and this particular night she must have felt like she wanted to be the star of the video!! ;) You'll see, so watch and enjoy Sariah!! ;)
Ward Halloween Party
Well this year for our ward's Halloween party the Primary decided to have the kids dress up as their favorite BOM character. Now in the states this would be a fine idea, but when stationed in Korea, you've got to make due with pillowcases and towels!! But they were cute nonetheless I think...Destinee was any generic woman character from the BOM (there aren't that many) and Dalin was Captain Moroni complete with stick and felt Title of Liberty!! ;)
Puffs of the Creamy Variety!!
Otherwise known as cream puffs...these were a yummy looking recipe from my favorite cookbook magazine (hint hint those in the states!!) Anyway, they were supposed to be pumpkins with the whole enchilada of faces and stems and stuff, but I just wasn't feeling the whole icing thing that night!! I know surprise surprise that I didn't feel like finishing a Halloween treat!! But they sure were yummy, faces or no faces!! ;)
