I'm getting better!!

So it's been about 3 1/2 years since I first began to sew and since then I have only attempted a shirt once and the results were horrendous and unwearable, so because of that experience I've always been scared of the outcome should I ever try one again. Well this was my second attempt and I think it turned out okay!! Kyle is always very appreciative of the things I make for him and he liked it...I even added a hood that wasn't in the pattern

The National? Apple Festival

The? is placed there because it was held in Pennsylvania and was very small scale to be called national Apple anything, and Chris was most disappointed with their lack of apple goodies too but we had fun!!

Festive fall food!!

Who doesn't love some good alliteration? Anyway these are just some various yummy's I have made recently... the first one is focaccia who knew I could do that... certainly not me and it was tasty!! I've made it twice since then. Then there was the cupcake I made for our church Halloween party.. picture chocolate cupcake mix with an Oreo on the bottom and a Reese's peanut butter cup with peanut butter cream frosting on the top have I ever had so many requests for a recipe!! I don't think so!! And next for some homemade caramel apples they turned out pretty cool way unhealthy but yummy nonetheless!! And then the other picture is of some really cool squash called jellyfish squash I think at the commissary that I took a picture for the boys

A first for me

So having all the kids out of the house and in school is a new feeling for me but it allowed me to accompany Kyle on a field trip to a local farm and pumpkin patch it was great fun and his little friends that I was the chaperone for were great!!

Halloween 2012

So I definitely fell short on getting a family picture of us this year but as always we coordinated!! I was Glenda the Goodwitch complete with a really tall crown and Chris made a perfect scarecrow but you might only get these two boys pictures!! They are still pretty cute nonetheless!! One bummer thing was downtown our little town has the businesses trick-or-treat the Thursday before Halloween always but we neglected to remember that and so Destinee and I were at a school sponsored opera visit!! Pretty cool but I think she would've rather been trick-or-treating!! But Chris was good enough and a good sport to take the two boys trick-or-treating all by himself and when onlookers would see them and say hey where's Dorothy and he answered at the opera they definitely thought he was pulling their leg!! We also have our favorite restaurant that we go to every year after Halloween. Destinee missed out on that too but I got in on it!! Yay for me!! We did go trick-or-treating with friends on Halloween night though but no pictures of Destinee, sorry!! Her Dorothy costume was pretty okay I made it but it wasn't my best work
