Can You Believe It??

Would you let 3 yr. olds play soccer on your team, and more importantly would you be willing to coach them!! Dalin got to start last year, and we quickly figured out that the next Spring (i.e. this one) Kyle would be three and able to play in a 3/4 yr. old league!! Do you think we had an excited little man..oh yes we did!! First game was Saturday and though he is BY FAR the smallest (strange thing to say ever about my kids) AND youngest, as there are quite a few 4 year olds ready to turn 5 (and even some stinkin' 5 yr olds) on this team..he sure did play hard, and though I well know that if I asked the traditional mother question of "Have you ever seen anything cuter than my little man in that last pic" that you would answer with a definitive yes because it's not YOUR little man or lady but I have to say that I can't think of anything cuter than a 3 yr. old (particularly mine) in cleats and shin guards!! ;) *Side Note* Dalin still is playing as well BUT the day after we got back from Spring Break, he decided to jump off a high piece of playground equipment at school and fractured his foot, and so he's in a nice neon green cast for 2 weeks, so he was there on the sidelines to support his team, but can you imagine how hard that would be for a very energetic, athletic 5 yr. old to "cheer on your teammates." Quite sad indeed, and we just hope that he will be able to play at least half his season....So pray for a quick recovery so he can participate really soon!! ;)

One Last Outdoor Tour..Without the Mosquitoes!!

Well this will conclude (or start depending on how you interpet this blog/reverse order thing) our wonderful Spring Break vacation pics, but one last stop had to be made on our way home as we passed through Shenandoah National Forest (or whatever it's called..National Park/Forest/Parking Area with Grass, etc.) At least these nature pics could potentially be taken again before the 12th of Never (which is when we'll probably get back to TN) because these are just a few hours away from our house in VA!! Also, all the pics that you will soon see of the areas in TN (should you choose to scroll down) are esp. meaningful and dejavu(ish) (I'm full of made-up words today) for Chris and I, because this is where we spent our honeymoon some 9 years ago. We didn't have any money to our name when we first got married, but with the help of some scraped up boy scout money and lifeguarding money that we still had from previous jobs, we managed to scrape up enough to go hideaway at this little cabin in the woods in Gatlinburg, TN. It was March 2001 and we arrived the week before everything of any interest even opened, so not much to do, but hey we didn't have the funds to do anything anyway, right!!?? So, a look back in our minds at where we were then and where we are now...what a difference a day (or years) makes, right!!?? ;)

A Little Man's Wish....

Okay that title sounded like a "Make-a-Wish" dream or something and heaven forbid 'twere it be the case, but for this wish, Dalin has said for quite some time now that when he grows up he wants to be a Monster Truck Driver and so when the opportunity presented itself to ride in one...could any self-respecting parent pass that up?? (Okay, yes they could but it wasn't actually too expensive, so why not??)

Part Two...Of Course in Opposite Order!!

Just some more beautiful sites to see in the good ol' South!! Have I mentioned yet that I miss Kentucky!! ;) Military Gods..do you hear us?? Change us from the snobby North, and give us the Friendly South!!

Couldn't/Wouldn't Have It

It wouldn't be a vacation for Daddy if he didn't get a good hike or two in, and so we took an entire day and enjoyed the GORGEOUS scenery around the Smoky Mountains...this is a compilation of a few different ones and then I still might have to do another addendum to add a few more...

Hootin', Hollerin', and Grubbin'

Wonderworks had a pkg. deal that included their dinner theatre show and so being the theatre lovin' person that Mom is, and being the food lovin' person that..well everybody was...we decided that we couldn't miss this and boys were we right..the last two pics are when all the kids from the audience got to go up on stage and so you can see my hoodlums there in the mix...Kyle was dragged up there by Destinee but very quickly decided that was not his place and promptly made an exit to Daddy's lap..What would we do without Daddies' laps!!

More Fun Was Had...

The other attraction we chose with the aquarium was WonderWorks...an interactive, very hands-on sciency (you like my new word) museum...what an awesome place..but not many pics for there...they had a rock-climbing wall and a gyroscope and a huge piano, which I do have..let me go put that on here..oops now it's at the top..oh well!! ;) Oh yeah, isn't the building awesome being upside down...everything that was supposed to be on the floor was elaborately put on the ceiling even when you went inside...Awesome place and now it's dinner time!!

Booty Ton Pic Alert...Here We Go!!

Well I've been lazy on uploading pics from our vacate but decided that today was the day...mainly to get away from the dishes and mounds of laundry I need to do..but you guys appreciate my sacrifice for YOU, don't you?? ;) By staying at the particular resort we did in TN, they had a military package that allowed you to pick tickets for two other area attractions as well as enjoying the waterpark they had there...gosh you gotta love the South and their soldier loving attitude!! ;) We chose as one of our visits to go to the Ripley's Aquarium and so instead of $19.95 for adults and $11.95 or something ridiculous for kids, we got in for $10 for all of us..because on top of the two adult tickets we got, then we got the military discount AGAIN and got in for CHEAPO!! (Just as a side note, don't you love the boys matching motorcycle pants in the last pic..oh yeah I made 'em!!) ;)
