My Little Firefly

Well Destinee's been practicing hard with her after school music club for their spring musical production of "Goin' Buggy." The show consisted of songs sung by all sorts of arachnids and well all around pests (bees, caterpillars, ladybugs, and one little spider)...but we won't call Destinee a pest. It was very cute though to hear Destinee and her fellow "electric bugs" as they called themselves in the show sing about "lighting up the world" complete with all the feel good KumBya feelings you could stand. She even had a small glowstick strapped to her buns on their costume!! There's a short video too, but I'll have to have Chris help me load that on here as I'm not sure how to do it yet...so I'll stop uploading tonight until I can have Chris help me with that so I'm not out of sequence on all the thrilling and exciting events I do around here on a regular basis!! Yeah right!! ;)

My Carrot's a What.??

A few nights ago, Chris and I tried yet another one of the Thai restaurants that are all around the base here and right before Chris finished his dish of Spicy Beef Soup, which he said was very delicious, he noticed that all his carrots had been in this shape....what cook has the time to put such finishing touches on a dish when they have a bazillion customers waiting for their food?? What attention to detail...we will definitely go back just for the eagle shaped carrots!!

A Small Similarity

This was a little group of Korean boy scouts right at the gate of Everland as we were leaving...they kept saying Hi and Bye and well yeah that's pretty much the only English words they knew but they sure were proud of themselves for knowing those words. Chris didn't want to ask them to take a group picture (scaredy cat) so he tried to kinda discreetly shoot this so they wouldn't know and mob us with their "Hi" and "Byes" again!!

There are some pretty things....

The title is to say that I guess there are some pretty things about Korea...i.e. Springtime and the blossoms. These pictures were taken on the drive into Everland, Korea's version of Disneyland I would guess and it is just absolutely gorgeous!! The third picture is right inside the park.

It's Raining Men...Halle...Oh Wait A Minute

Sorry, just reverted to those pre-married thoughts...seriously though ladies...wouldn't it have been awesome and for those of you still single wouldn't it STILL be awesome to just have men fall down from the sky like little delicious, tan raindrops and you just pick one at random, whichever suited your fancy for that day!! Wouldn't we all pray for rain everyday!! Okay, enough of that...I already have a tan, delicious husband!! This was a little shop in one of the markets in Seoul...every imaginable color of umbrella...very handy on a rainy day!!
