Oh No..Here We Go Again

Well some more crafting for you...usually I don't ever do step-by-step pics of any project I do, because well I'm not talented enough to have anybody copy me at ANYTHING, but this one is hard to screw up and maybe somebody would like to repeat it in their home or on their front door as the case may be.....I just love decorating for holidays, no matter the one, but St. Patrick's Day has never been a real big one for me..has it for you?? But anyway, I thought this would be a very fun craft that Kyle and I could do right after he woke up from his nap and indeed it was...first take rice, and put your food coloring in it, then get little hands in there to get all messy and smoosh it up..how ever many colors you want and then glue all over your clover, or pot of gold (the yellow fluff that maybe you can't figure out what it is..there's a brown pot underneath it drawn on construction paper), or rainbow and pour on the rice and smoosh it to stick...this was the outcome and he and I were quite proud of our results on our door...so now if the "elements" don't whoosh it away for a few days..it can stand as a pretty tribute to our crafting....

One of Probably All Too Many

Well this is just a sneak peak at the massive amount of crafting I've done to keep me busy while here by myself (minus the hoodlums)...Dalin has been really liking to help in the kitchen lately so why not have a cool, boyish apron...And Kyle is the king of costumes and would love nothing more than to run around in some sort of super hero costume all day, which most days he does...and so what little super hero couldn't use a cape with his initial on it, stating that he is the most powerful superhero there is...The first pic is of him flying when I asked him what do we do in our cape??

Blast from the Past...

Well since I"m already behind somewhat on happenings around here, why not go back half a month and recap a Valentine cutie...Can you tell what Dalin's theme was this year for his Valentines...well in case it's not clear enough, it's an alien and the inside of the card said "I have SPACE for you in my heart..." I thought it was a very cute idea that I got off the world's best site, FamilyFun.com and another goodie from that site...I don't think you can read it which is a bummer (I stink at taking good pics, that's Chris's job) but it's supposed to (operative word here) resemble a big red and white popcorn bucket and the front says: "To a Pop-Pop-Popular Teacher" with a bag of popcorn taped to the back...we definitely don't get the appreciation around here nearly as much as in our tight knit military communities and schools for the cute things that myself and my kids try to come up, but if my kids know that I try to make all these occasions special, then that's all that matters, don't you think??

As Usual...

Well like I usually say after a hiatus of sorts on blog posting, I'm not dead and Chris comes home in 20 days!! YAY!! I have a MAJOR "Ruth's Creations" photo gallery to take between now and then to show how I've kept myself busy for 3 months!! It's a big one!! TaTa for now, I have to go make something else....;)
