As Always!!

Well as always, I wait until the end of eternity to update my blog and then have massive amounts to upload....so go back to older posts and you can see even more of the stuff I waited too long to post!! ;)

Decisions,Decisions!!

Once again I do everything backwards, 'cause seeing this video you won't have any idea what it is, but just scroll down and read the explanation and look at the pictures BEFORE you watch the video so that you can know what it's about. Anyway, this particular clip is also a custom that Koreans do at a 1st birthday party where they set out different things that could determine the baby's career and interests when he grows up...money (wealth), pencil (scholar/smart), but anyway this particular Dad wanted his son to be good at golf so he put out a golf ball hoping that that was what the baby would choose. You can kinda see a little steering towards that side of the table in this, but it worked!! Now his parents will just have to wait to see if there's any truth to it!!

All this for a 1 year old??

Well Chris certainly had learned about Koreans celebrating the first 100 days that a baby is alive with a small party....and so we were invited to a 1 year old's little birthday that Chris works with his dad and we expected a small get together at McDonald's or something of the like but NO!! This was at a beautiful hotel downtown in their convention room and all the decorations and pictures of which I didn't even get half of or probably just don't feel like posting all of them cost about $2000!! For a 1 year old people!! Anyway...a beautiful set up, just very elaborate!!

Birthday Loot and a "Peacable" Cake

Well here's a few of his presents from this year..an awesome starter train set with the track and a bridge and the whole works and a big bucket of blocks....and as is the custom I wanted to make him a fancy cake and this was what I came with since he loves cars SO much!! Chris's parents sent me a silicone cake pan in a car shape last year and at the time had no idea how I was EVER going to use it...especially because you had to bake it in "pieces"...like the tail spoiler was one section and the wheels were another section and so on and so forth...so the finished product here is all those pieces pushed all together and frosted over...it of course was supposed to be red with white-walled tires kinda like Lightning McQueen but the best my frosting and food coloring would give me was dark pink...oh well once again did he care.....NOPE!! Not a bit!!

I'm Singin' To Myself!!

Well we finally got to have a party for Kyle just with family and at home, but I decorated the table and put up a banner and everything, all with Cars or "Doo-Di"s as Kyle calls them (no clue!!) so he didn't care that there wasn't any huge fanfare put on for him....he must've liked our singing and wanted to join along or maybe he didn't like our singing and decided he needed to do his own rendition!!

What Is Going On??

So we went to Chili's that night after a long, cold, yet fun day at Everland (yeah I know, eating out twice in a day is a horror!!) Anyway, I told them it was Kyle's birthday and this is Kyle's reaction to their "musical salute" to his birthday and the treat that they brought with them!!

Much Too Good Not To Share!!

Number 1 weirdness for the day: Koreans yodeling...Number 2 "":Koreans sounding like chickens while yodeling...you see if you agree!!

The Elusive Fish

This was a new exhibit at Everland in their "Go Africa" tent..but anyway there was a computer generated video on the floor of all these fish and Kyle found it very interesting and then very entertaining when Dalin pounces on them towards the end determined to get one!!

Kyle's Everland Trip

We started out Kyle's birthday with some Smiley Alien Pancakes at Checkertails,
then it was off to Everland!!

Chris's Bouncy Side!!

For those that don't know my husband very well, which honestly is most of you...he can be kinda fun and let loose!! Just watch!!

My Basketball Playin' Men!!

Doesn't this store look like so much fun!!

Radio Flyers and Dorky Moms

I realize NOW how dorky and goofy I sound on here, but oh well he liked his little airplane thingy and I'll gladly make a joke out of myself anytime for a cute video of my little man!!

Korean Toys'R'Us

Well despite what you might think..heck despite what I thought this particular trip would present us with...it was actually a WONDERFUL time with many similarities to a US one...not that I can remember too vividly..it's been WAY too long!! I alsoalways forget that the first picture I upload becomes the last picture to be seen and vice versa so the pictures are opposite of how I wanted to introduce them but oh well work with me....

This particular aisle had all kinds of
birthday supplies for all sorts of themes
but what I found funny here was the close-up
of what you're seeing here which is a child's face mask.
The Koreans wear them throughout the winter to keep
germs out and a smidge of warm air in I would guess. Doesn't
every US child's birthday have one of these too!!?? What, NO??
How silly and ungermaphobic is that!!

Desi just plain "tuckered out" after looking at strollers!!
Hey he wasn't pinching her, so I'm happy!!

Cutest footstools ever, don't you think??

This was what the kids could sit it while the
parents checked out!! What is that you say??
"How could I not have a hand on my child at all
times??" Do you see the smiles on their faces??
Well believe you me, Chris and I had one on too!! There you
go, both parents happy and kids happy!!
