Chip It

Okay so have any of you brilliant people out there heard of an app called "Chip It" from Sherwin-Williams? You can take a picture of anything you want or find any picture on the Internet you want, click the "Chip It" thing on your toolbar to rollover the image and it will tell you the paint palette that was used to create it (of course from Sherwin Williams paint colors) So thats what I'm attempting with this painting made by Chris's grandma for my bedroom I'll let you know if it works!! Oops, it's upside down..oh well!! ;)

Maybe Someday

So my little "mini me" loves drama, just like I did at her age, and still do!! With that said, you can imagine how extremely ecstatic I would be when she gets accepted into a charter visual arts middle school (for the one obvious reason, but also because of the alternative for m.s. around here is the pits)...now she got in for band (i.e. clarinet) as there was no specific option for acting/drama, but while there how nice will it be for her to participate in alI the plays, and the like. Now my mom knowing how much she and I as well as my mom enjoy plays we got to go to three different outdoor theater plays while visiting in St. George. Imagine our surprise that one of the actors in this nationally known outdoor theater happened to go to Destinee's new middle school. Can't be too bad, huh!!??

So I've heard

Now I have heard from countless Utah uproots that if ever in Utah, that a MUST is to eat at Cafe Rio...I must admit that I had my doubts on how truly "heavenly" it could be...boy was I wrong!! It is nothing short of fabulous!! ;). Can't wait to go back!!

Cove Fort and the past

My mom and dad served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as a senior couple a few years ago at an important pioneer threshold of Cove Fort, UT. It is pretty much out in the middle of nowhere, and is quite easy to see how and why the Mormon pioneers just trying to get to the salt lake valley would've had so
many hardships getting there just because of the harshness of the land. So while the kids, and myself traveled back to St. George to visit with my mom and dad a little more, we took a small detour to visit where my mom and dad had served. How glad we are to not live in the time of chamber pots, and shared "beds."

What would we do without cousins!!??

Unlike my sister-in-law who gets to enjoy her sisters and brothers and have her children enjoy their cousins every day... so jealous of that loveliness!! ;) My kids enjoyed very much being with their cousins even if it's just every two years especially Destinee and her new BFF, Sierra!!

Canyons and Cheese!!

The cheese referring to our smiling!!

Is this politically correct?

This is a really cool town statue made of elk antlers in Wyoming right before Yellowstone National Park. I don't know if it's politically correct or not to have that many dead animals headgear but it was kind of cool anyway!!

These fish really "suck"

I mean that in the most literal way possible!! These are giant carps that my sister,my kids and I saw on the way to Yellowstone National Park and the videos are hilarious but of course I can't get them to upload right now but the kids sure did have fun feeding these guys!!

WTOP part two

I wish there was enough good things to say about these two young men. I got much closer to them on this particular family reunion and what a catch they will be for some lady when they finally realize what they are missing (the ladies' I mean!!) ;)

Worth their own post... Part one

Well after going to the dentist recently I found out that most eight-year-olds should have their six-year-old molars!! Well my little boy takes his time and this is his first lost tooth in a restaurant in Utah!!

Some sights and sounds!!

Well not so much sounds, but definitely sites of our two week visit out west for a fun-filled family reunion.

Westward Ho...

This is how an 8 yr. old feels when waiting on a plane that doesn't get into its final destination until 11:30 pm on the west coast...(i.e. 1:30 where we live!!)

Summertime Fun

Well definitely been a while since I posted but here are some fun pictures of some events that have been going on while Chris was gone this summer... for the few people other than my brother and my mom that read this blog Chris happens to be in Korea for work, but we're keeping busy!! First birthday parties to be enjoyed with friends and yummy looking cake
