The Injustice of the Eating Contest

When Mom came to visit in September she was here for a Labor Day picnic where I kinda on accident/purpose entered Chris into an eating contest (having no idea what he would have to eat) :) But anyway it ended up being pasta salad which is not Chris's favorite dish anyway but he was a trooper and stepped up to the plate (or table) I should say and chowed down....The only reason he didn't win as you can see in the second picture here is because one of the other contestants was cheating by throwing extra food on Chris's plate and he still almost won .....He's an awesome sport!

Guam in April

We took our yearly vacation in April to Guam-which when we told our family about, they said the only thing they thought about when they heard Guam was that a war was fought there....it is much more and was a welcome SMALL piece of the U.S. while we're here somewhat "marooned" on this island of sorts!! It was very tropical and relaxing.....

Our Unfortunate Mishap

This was the result of us trying to take our "MINIVAN" on a road where only 4wd vehicles should be allowed to go!! We had to come home a day early from our trip too so that we could get another tire before Chris went to work!! :(

Namdae Temple at Odaesan National Park

This is a picture of a pretty Buddhist temple that we actually drove up to-through a very winding and treacherous mountain road....and the next picture will show you the result of this drive other than the pretty pictures!!
