Anybody know the California state veggie?

No....well it's the Artichoke, and to celebrate its goodness Castroville, CA holds the annual Artichoke festival to put it as an ingredient in many things it probably doesn't belong it but are quite good nonetheless!! Such as cupcakes!! Really pretty good though, and one man you can see REALLY got into the color scheme and dyed his dog green!!

How I love...

I just love the way this man will stay up until well after midnight to finish his insane amounts of homework just so he can play Legos with his kids. Kyle wrote him a "Daddy Male" in church today asking him if he would possibly have time? Can you read it?

Mr. Dalin turns 9

So my boys make friends extremely easily and apparently have good genes in that department...at least on their Momma's side!! So we had a Lego birthday party as requested by Dalin in a huge community center room that is completely free for military here on base!! Complete with a full kitchen, tables and chairs!! I think it was a success!! ;) Then the next day (on his actual birthday we enjoyed some kite flying and a day at the aquarium!!

A few West Coast happenings...

So this first picture I thought I had already posted, but my mom told me I hadn't. We have met friends here, we have had fun events where we get to do bungee jumping on trampoline and ride bikes and meet friends and ride cool motorized animals, and go for walks with our newest animal friend, Parky. It just doesn't get any better! Now if only daddy didn't have so much homework!

Month of the Military Child

So April (at least in the military community) is the Month of the Military Child and they put on quite a shindig in honor of our kiddos...all for free!! It was quite fun, and there were plenty of things we didn't even get to because we haf to do un fun stuff like grocery shopping! Boo!

Fun with friends!!

So a new family and I headed out today for an afternoon of what we hoped would be a fun day at the children's museum. Ending with a lunch at a really fancy McD's...mission accomplished!!

Beautiful new place!!

So after some definite headache, (what in the military isn't a headache occasionally) we have a beautiful home that I think will suit our family just wonderfully for the next year!! Come visit and see what you think!! ;)
