I'm Obsessed...What Can I Say??

Well of all the things in this world that I can't do succesfully (drive, sew, keep my mouth shut, etc. the list goes on and on!!) I am pretty decent at making desserts and all things baking...and this is one of the specialties that I even feel proud of myself when I do...cheesecakes for all you dessert challenged people!! ;) Chris loves them and wishes I'd make them more often for at home so I decided to appease him and make one for...oh wait no I didn't make it for him, it was for a church party!! HeHe!! ;) But he did get the first piece and he said it was delish!! ;) Don't you love the flower design!! ;)

My Tribute To You Gentleman

And GentleWomen too I guess.....I have long since been proud of all the things that my husband has accomplished and does accomplish now, whether it be putting up a pot rack in our kitchen, or making shelves for a bookcase...but nothing makes me prouder to have him than the fact that he is in the military. I know there are "haters" out there not thinking the military serves a purpose other than to blow up countries that we had no business being in in the first place...but hey this post isn't for them now is it?? Anyway, I felt kinda sad that there weren't any basewide festivities so to say going on for Memorial Day yesterday (there were of course in Arlington/DC) but well little ol' peons such as ourselves can't get anywhere near there when the big Mr. Obama comes out...so we took our $.99 flags from Michaels and found the base cemetery and planted some flags on the graves of these brave men and women that sometimes seems like time has forgotten, but we haven't and I plan on making this a family tradition every year, yes even if in Korea....think Korean War Memorial...aha!! Anyway, I hope the kids got something out of it but I know I sure did knowing that somewhere above there are some spirits hopefully smiling that one little family down here on earth has not forgotten them or their ultimate sacrifice so that I can live in this land of freedoms!! ;) Thanks alot Guys and Gals!!

A few weekends ago we traveled up to VA to visit with Chris's family and to celebrate his sister's graduation from college and let's schmooze the college graduate smuckity smuck!! And this is where she chose to go...huge botanical garden with a huge house on it....that's about all I know but it was nice until Kyle was looking a little too close at the Koi pond and fell in!! Oh yes...FELL IN and was floundering just like one of the fish....wasn't very deep though so don't get your drawers all up in a wad that I wasn't worried more than I was about him. He sure didn't like being all wet though and so I thought it would be a very mean momma thing to do to take a picture so no funny hahas at my baby's expense!! ;)

Rather I just don't have anything exciting happening or to say...ever since the event that prompted the last post...i.e. getting my infamous drivers' license, I've been off like the wind to thither and yonder...so if anything earth shattering ever happens to me again, I'll be sure to let you know!! ;)

Well....No Dramatics...But It's Done!!

Well I was gonna make it much more dramatic because with all the troubles I've had, I deserve to make it flashy but the picture came out horrific and now for the next 5 years as Maryland knows me I have a double chin!! But I did it and I FINALLY got my driver's license here...I've spared many of my readers (all 2 of you!!) the troubles and frustrations of getting one here (because mine expired in Korea) because well: Hey who cares other than me right?? But it's done and now I don't have to see those *nice* (in place of other things to call them) people again or at least for a little while at least!!
