I'm Alive...But So Many Aren't!!

Yeah, I've been lazy about posting anything on here for a few weeks now, but then again there haven't been many things going on that were blog worthy. Besides, who really missed looking at my mug, and hearing my inner most ramblings anyway, right?? ;) Anyway, it is no secret (at least I don't think it is..but in case it was a secret) I DON'T LIKE MY KID'S SCHOOL!! There now it's out, and whooh am I glad that's off my chest...Why you might ask...okay well here goes...they don't teach the kids anything about history (thus far, very little), they have way too much homework when they come home (even my kindergartner), and they have way too many stupid rules (a parent can't walk down the halls after school has started to bring their kid..let's say their lunch that they foolishly forgot). Just a few of my issues, BUT today's post is about something cool they're doing today...they're trying to butter me up to like them better...we'll see if it works!! ;) The day before the kids get out for Memorial Day weekend they are having a "Red,White,and Blue Day" where the kids can wear hats (heaven forbid), and dress all Americanish...so you know me...couldn't just leave it at a red white and blue outfit...here are the results!! Don't you love the hat?? Hey, when they let you wear one, you gotta go all out, right!!??

A Mother's Day Surprise

Though a few days late, I've been "shamed" into writing something about Mother's Day because of how well my fellow bloggers have done documenting the wonderful efforts of their husbands. And of course, with no pics, (classic me), you'll just have to imagine the prettiest yellow and red roses (red tipped yellow) in a gorgeous Polish pottery vase, and TWO cards (not just one that says everything already in the card that your husband just signs and takes the credit for the card writer's genius) but a handwritten one with sentiments of love, and caring as well. Oh and some wonderful morsels of breakfast as well, all finished up with a beautiful (though windy) day at a park where we grilled a wonderful dinner.....what a great day it truly was..Thanks for the thought My Dear!! And of course I wouldn't have known how women should've been treated if it hadn't been for my wonderful mom and her truly miraculous patience with me growing up...so Happy Mother's to all those friends and family who still occasionally follow me on here!! ;)

What are the Odds??

Okay, now there are people in the world that are just lucky all-around, i.e....get all the promotions, dodge the speeding car that's about to hit them, win the lottery, you get the drift...I unfortunately am NOT one of them, HOWEVER last night threw me a bone in my unlucky streak of life sometimes and gave me the "ability" (use that term VERY loosely) to win this for my son!! Can you believe it!!?? I know I sure can't..oh and if you're wondering how many billions of dollars I had to spend on the stupid machine to win it once...you guessed it...just one token from Dave and Buster's...SUWEET!!!!! (In case you're wondering if it's just one of the random stupid things they put in those machines and they rot there in dust and decay until they're finally tossed away...NOPE..it's the penguin from the movie Madagascar!! Dare I say, SUWEET again!! ;)

Is This Natural??

A few months ago (I'm sure more than a dozen actually) the "As Seen on TV" people came out with a product that anyone who knows my obsession with doing Destinee's hair will know was RIGHT up my alley...but alas I did not buy it at its ridiculous $12 price tag (we're sometime cheap around here) and waited until I saw it this weekend at a Claire's for $5 (much better...for if it stinks, I'm only out that much) and lo and behold will you look at the unheard of "bumpy" ridge on my daughter's head!! I did a style the other day with just her bangs and the smallest "bump" of the product and got the same fabulous results!! LOVE IT!! ;)

P.S. Okay now after uploading the pic I took this morning, I realize that you can't see the fabulousness as much as I would like, but just imagine my 8 yr. in the 50's and 60's (complete with boufante hair and the illustrious poodle skirt) and she would've fit right in!! ;)

Some Recapping and Present

Well I don't know if I mentioned before on here that a few weeks ago Chris and Dalin attended a wedding of Chris's absolute best friend for as long as I can remember (since Chris joined the military some 7 years ago) and so as I was uploading the few I've taken in the last day or so, I found all of the wedding pics as well that I hadn't seen, so I decided to share a few with you...Aren't you lucky!! ;)

Where Have All The Bloggers Gone??

Well with my luck and agility, I managed to sprain my ankle coming down the stairs last night and hopefully if there is a heaven, it can be "fixed" by just icing and stuff and not having anything more extreme to have to do to it, but the point of my title here is everytime I have checked my fellow blogging constituents on my page, there has been next to nothing if anything new going on in their lives that they felt worthy of posting. You guys have to know that I'm here waiting with baited breath just to get a glimpse into your lives, so come on and help a sister out while I have nothing to do but put my foot up and relax for a little bit!! ;)

My Handsome Man!! (Well Mini Man)

Well my middle man turned a great big ol' 6 today and though I even made him a cute

"I'm 6" shirt and matching pants..the pics didn't come out very well and I"m probably just being a bit lazy about putting them up...but here are some of his best moments from the past year...What a great big brother he is to his younger brother and an "occasional" good brother to his older sister!! ;) As well as what a fun-loving spirit he is in everything he does just makes Chris and I laugh and chuckle so many times with his energy and zest for life....Here's to many more fun and hyper years to come, even if they do occasionally come with casts and broken bones..doesn't that come with the territory of having boys!!?? ;) Oh yeah and he had soccer practice tonight and I made soccer cupcakes so his sports friends could help him enjoy his birthday a little bit too!! ;)
