Home Pics...The Before Version

Well I know people have been wanting to see some home pics and truly people I am touched that anybody other than my mom would care!! Anyway, here are just a few I just took actually 5 minutes ago...isn't techonology awesome!! Anyway, a very short explanation on why this is a townhome for those who had heard or thought that we would not want to live in one. We came to MD with the firm idea that we would rent a SFH or a townhome if we had to....because we had no idea how long the military would allow us to stay here and so it seemed a smarter move to just rent a place for as long as we were here.....well our realtor was WONDERFUL and showed us as many rentals as she could find in our price range...which if anybody in the finance dept. of the military is reading this...it's a tad bit LOW people!!!! I digress.....and these wonderful homes that we had discussed and poured over many a night in Korea turned out to be absolute horrors!! I mean, pictures can make something look good if you take it in the right light and only take the decent parts but what you can't see from a picture is all the other rooms where they stashed the dead bodies and/or the guns where they shot their next door neighbor!! (Totally sarcastic, but hey they looked like it could be possible!!) and then we found a TH that we thought if we're just renting a TH would be okay and so it was great and we tried to get it immediately and the owners had accepted a lease on it not 2 hours before....this same scenario went on for two days...Find a home you like, call the owner, get ridiculously disappointed when they are all rented. Okay this is so not brief, but then again is any story I tell brief..exactly!! Hey you clicked onto my blog, not deal!! ;) Bottom line..we figured "Hey if the rental market is so booming that the day they're put on the market so to say that they're gone..why not buy a home that we can customize to ourselves and our family and then hopefully be able to rent it in a few years...maybe to even a military family such as ourselves who needed a place some years ago as well!! So we live in a community named Russet with pools, libraries, daycare, schools, etc. Oh that etc. right there should be the shopping center that is a walkable distance away (which is good since MD is being a beast about letting me get my license here) with Target, two grocery stores,Kohl's,Panera Bread,Furniture Stores,Chick-Fil-A,Wal-Mart,Sam's----must I go on...no need to torture any more of my friends in Korea!! So hopefully our loan will go through next week and this home will officially be ours to do what we wish with it!! The pictures that you see inside are what were updated when we moved in...how about them SS appliances and though the picture isn't great, that fan is beautiful!! Okay, done!! ;)
